Choose fragrance with confidence.

A practical guide to notes, concentration, intensity, testing, application, storage and the way perfume changes from first spray to dry-down.

Top notes

The opening impression—often brighter citrus, aromatic, green or sparkling accords.

Heart notes

The central character that becomes clearer after the opening settles.

Base notes

The deeper dry-down—often woods, amber, musk, vanilla, leather or oud-style accords.

Concentration

EDP, EDT and related labels describe format, but real wear also depends on formula, skin, climate and application.

Projection

How far a fragrance seems to radiate around you. More projection is not always better, especially indoors.

Longevity

How long the fragrance remains noticeable. Performance can vary significantly from person to person.

How to choose perfume online

Begin with notes and fragrance families you already enjoy in perfumes, grooming, candles or even food aromas. Then match the scent to the setting where you will wear it most often.

How to test properly

Smell the opening, then give the fragrance time. Revisit it after the heart develops and again at the dry-down. If possible, wear different candidates on separate days rather than comparing many at once.

How to apply

Apply lightly to clean skin or clothing where appropriate. Avoid rubbing freshly applied fragrance. Begin conservatively in shared indoor spaces and adjust after understanding the formula.

How to store perfume

Keep bottles away from prolonged heat, direct sunlight and repeated temperature swings. Close the cap and store upright where possible.

Climate matters

Heat can amplify projection while cold conditions can make some fragrances feel quieter. A scent may behave differently across Indian seasons and cities.

What is the difference between top, heart and base notes?

Top notes are the opening, heart notes define much of the central character, and base notes form the longer dry-down that remains later.

Does EDP always last longer than EDT?

Not automatically. Concentration is only one factor; formula, materials, skin, climate and application all influence performance.

Should I rub perfume after spraying?

It is generally better to let the fragrance settle naturally rather than rubbing the application area immediately.

How many perfumes should I test at once?

Fewer is usually better. Too many scents in one session can make comparison difficult, especially when you are trying to understand the dry-down.
